Emmett received their MSW with a concentration of school social work from Northeastern Illinois University. Prior to Youth Services, Emmett taught dance to all ages at a local theater company. Through dance, Emmett developed a passion for teamwork, relationship building, the arts, and the power they all have to heal. Emmett found the field of social work to be the perfect balance of their passions. Emmett’s therapeutic approach pulls from strengths-based perspective, play therapy, art therapy, and CBT. Emmett utilizes these strengths and therapeutic approaches at youth services within their individual therapy practice, as well as the pride program, the youth development program, and the social skills program.
