As the world reopens, Youth Services is thrilled to welcome our clients back into our building. We will continue to allow clients the flexibility and choice of in-person and/or virtual sessions and all of our groups have returned to an in-person format. We have also allowed for limited in-person volunteer time in the building and plan to continue developing these opportunities.
How are we moving forward? We will continue to watch trending COVID numbers and follow CDC and Illinois state guidelines carefully. We are working with FGK Services, Inc. for deep cleans multiple times each week, using innovative COVID-specific cleaning products, added sanitation bins to each room in the building, stands through the building, and HEPA air filters in therapy spaces. We remain diligent about watching numbers of people in the building at one time and are spaced out accordingly.
The most special step we can take is utilizing our outdoor space when weather allows. We have continued to dream up ideas for making it as beautiful and inviting as possible while creating more opportunities for outdoor individual and group therapy with additional seating areas for the critical work ahead of us.
