Agency therapists have a presence at several local high schools including Glenbrook South, Glenbrook North, Loyola Academy, Niles West, and Niles North High School by providing on-site safety assessments for students exhibiting at-risk behaviors or potential suicidal ideation. In every case, parents are notified and three referrals are given for longer-term solutions.
I am grateful for the high level of services that Youth Services has provided within the GBN school environment. The services are considered cutting edge and have not been seen in other area high school districts. While we have a creative partnership with one another, we continue to strive to evolve in our partnership and are looking forward to the work that we will engage in over the years to come.
